CNDR is one of the largest law school ADR programs in the USA with diverse courses, a robust Mediation Clinic and Externship Program and a nationally recognized Mediation and Negotiation Team. CNDR received a 2013 Award for Excellence in ADR Education and is ranked in the top ten of ADR programs nationally.
Sheila directed an award winning public/private partnership of the San Mateo Superior Court, bar and community with civil, small claims, family, probate, complex litigation and juvenile ADR programs from 1996-2012. After graduating from UCSC and UC Hastings, she received a Coro Fellowship, mediated for the S.F. Mayor’s Office and worked as the State Bar’s ADR Program Developer.
Publications include A Bench Guide to ADR and numerous articles. She has received an ABA Committee Chair Award, California Dispute Resolution Council Founder’s Award, A James Dennis Memorial Award, the California’s Supreme Court Chief Justice Special Recognition Award and the 2013 Mediation Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in Mediation.
She has consulted and presented worldwide. She launched and co-teaches CNDR’s groundbreaking, International Court ADR Institute, which has had participants from 27 countries.
